Key differences:
- Auto-generated citations - APA, MLA, and Chicago formats calculated from your episode data
- Source quality tracking - categorize sources as Academic Expert, Industry Pro, Journalist, or Entertainment for credibility assessment
- Cited In field - track which papers you've used each source in
- Course organization - filter notes by class when writing papers
- Structured insights - three separate insight fields force you to extract the key points

What Are the Common Questions?
Common questions include Notion requirements, handling multi-course episodes, and note processing timing. Yes, this template requires Notion for the auto-generated citation formulas. Add multiple course tags for cross-course episodes. Process notes within 24 hours while content is fresh.
Do I need Notion to use this? Yes, this template is built for Notion. If you use a different tool, you can adapt the structure - it's just a database with specific fields.
What if a podcast relates to multiple courses? Add multiple course tags. It'll show up in filtered views for both.
How do I handle podcasts that aren't course-related? You can add a "General" or "Personal" course tag, or just skip noting them. Not every podcast needs to be captured for coursework.
What if I don't finish processing my notes within 24 hours? Process them as soon as you can - the longer you wait, the less useful your timestamps and keywords become. But imperfect notes are better than no notes.
